Sports Illustrated (SI) was set to make history with the launch of the inaugural SI Women’s Games, a spectacular six-day event celebrating the world’s most elite female athletes. Scheduled to take place from Tuesday, October 28, to Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California, this biennial all-star competition will pit Team Americas against Team World in a thrilling Ryder Cup-style format. Unfortunately, the event has been postponed due to logistics issues.
The Ultimate International Women’s Sports Showdown
Over 120 world-class athletes from more than 25 countries will eventually descend upon Oceanside for a week of high-stakes competition across six main sports, vying for prize money and the prestigious title of SI Women’s Games Champion. This event is a powerful showcase of the accelerating growth and impact of women’s sports on a global scale.

The competition will feature a diverse lineup of sports, with one event spotlighted each day:
* Flag Football: A three-game series to open the Games.
* Combat Sports: Featuring a series of matches in both Judo and Wrestling.
* Volleyball: A best-of-five sets match.
* Gymnastics: Including Artistic, Rhythmic, and Trampoline events.
* Basketball: A full-length 5v5 game.
* Tennis: Concluding the week with singles and doubles matches.
